Not to be confused with forex crm systems.

Forex CRM program is the client-relationship management application a retail forex broker uses to administer its customer base. It typically handles lead capture, know-your-customer onboarding, account assignment to sales or retention staff, and a record of deposits, withdrawals and trading activity. The program is usually licensed from a specialist vendor and integrated with the broker's trading platform and payment systems.

Core functions

A forex CRM program sits between the broker's marketing, compliance and trading systems. Common modules include:

Exact feature sets vary by vendor, and the modules a broker enables depend on its licence, size and internal procedures.

Worked example: agent performance report

A broker uses its CRM program to review one agent's book for a month.

Agent performance, one month
Assigned clients120 accounts120
Funded accounts48 of 12040%
Total deposits48 × 2,500 USD120,000 USD
Total withdrawals—18,000 USD
Net deposits120,000 − 18,000102,000 USD

The net deposit figure is the one the broker uses to assess the agent's contribution; the CRM program produces it from the deposit and withdrawal records it holds.

Deployment and regulation

Forex CRM programs are offered as hosted software-as-a-service, as installable software, or occasionally as custom-built systems. Data-protection and record-keeping obligations differ by jurisdiction, so the retention periods, audit trails and reporting formats a program must support are set by the relevant regulator rather than by the software vendor. Brokers should confirm that a program's compliance features match the rules of each market they serve.
